Environmental Education (E2) Fund
Grant: Complete the E2 grant application online.
What is an E2 Fund Grant?
The E2 Fund Grant is awarded annually to a
school, a civic or community organization in the State of Florida.
The award is based on the proposed project’s overall environmental
value as to:
1)
Fostering awareness and understanding of a water related
issue;
2) Being cost
effective;
3) Basing
the project on sound science principles;
4) Promoting involvement of
students or citizens; and,
5) Promoting enhancement of a
water resource or associated habitat.
Who can apply for an E2
Grant? Schools or institutions, agencies or
organizations may apply for an E2 Grant. Grant Applications must be
signed by the project manager/contact.
What is the maximum
Grant awarded per project? In general, individual
project budgets should not exceed $1,000. Smaller grant applications
will be given higher priority, so that the Fund may support as many
worthwhile initiatives as possible. However, exceptional outreach
projects in excess of $1,000 may be considered from time to time.
Please contact FAWQC prior to applying for a larger grant.
What is the deadline for applying
for the E2 Grant? October 1, 2008.
How do I apply
for the Grant?
Fill out an online E2 Application or you can Download the application in PDF. If you complete a paper copy of the application, you must submit it to FAWQC and attach the Table of Costs for your project budget, the number and type of participants, and a typed proposal of 1,000 words or less describing the project. Your project proposal should address each of the above five numbered requirements.
Communication of funded project details during the FAWQC
Annual Water Issues Conference is the primary mechanism for
continued external financial support of the FAWQC Environmental
Education Fund Program. By submitting an application and accepting
funding, the applicant is also affirming agreement to provide a
descriptive written or oral report of the project and a poster
presentation for display during the FAWQC Annual Conference in
Naples, Florida in June 2007. Reimbursement of certain travel
expenditures will be allowed, subject to arrangement and agreement
in advance between FAWQC and the grant recipient.
If you have any questions or concerns about
the application process or requirements, please contact Mr. Robert
